This project consists of the following:  

This project includes demolition of the one-story storage room and selective demolition within the existing theatre building, along with improvements to the stage and construction of a new Green Room/Vestibule with accessible ramp and exit stairs.  Work also includes relocation, strengthening and interior improvements to the existing historic land office building, installation of two new modular buildings for Artist’s Dressing Rooms and Public Restrooms and development of new outdoor dining and event area with a main bar and a Class “A” Fire Rated canopy structure.  A new Fire Riser Room will be added with alley access.

 

Stage improvements include replacement of the stage flooring and structure with a new basement access hatch, removal and replacement of basement electrical / mechanical systems, creation of a new egress opening in an existing concrete wall, installation of new exit stairs and landing, replacement of a sliding door with an overhead loading door, and infill of an existing alley exit, audio/visual and lighting systems will also be upgraded.

 

Additional work includes installation of rooftop mechanical units serving the stage and green room/vestibule, site grading for new modular structures and outdoor areas, construction of a perimeter block wall with access gates, and the installation of lighting, heaters, digital screens and A/V systems throughout the outdoor bar and dining area.

 

The project proposes the installation of fire sprinklers in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 and a fire alarm system.  Fire sprinkler and Fire alarm system drawings will be submitted separately for review and approval.

The project is a new 49 unit Multi-Family residential development consisting of 2- 2 Story apartments and 6 Duplexes all of which are modular buildings built in factories offsite. Food Bank Warehouse TI's and Sitework

Your proposals are due no later than May 17, 2023 02:00 PM.

Here is some of the project information. It includes, but is not limited to:

Building upgrades and Tenant Improvements to existing 57,600 s.f. warehouse including office and restroom additions and upgrades, new sorting area, added Cooler, Freezer and scales, Structural, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical upgrades. Exterior work includes enclosing the loading dock and new dock levelers, new overhead doors, new trellis. Sitework includes trash/recycling enclosure, back-up Generator, site walls, courtyard hardscaping and landscaping, fencing and gates, parking lot improvements and site lighting.

NOTE: DUE TO THE CITY OF GOLETA’S PLANNING APPROVAL PROCESS, THEY REQUIRED THAT THE PROJECT BE SEPERATED INTO 5 SEPERATE PERMITS. THIS BID SET COMBINES ALL OF THE 5 PERMITS TO CREATE A SINGLE PROJECT TO BID. THE 5 PLAN SETS THAT ARE COMBINED ARE: PLN (SITEWORK), EXT (BUILDING EXTERIOR) WTI (WEST WAREHOUSE TENANT IMPROVERMENTS), ETI (EAST TENANT IMPROVEMENTS) and ELD (EAST LOADING DOCK). PLEASE REFER TO THE FRONT PAGE OF THE BID SET "BID PACKAGE DRAWING RELEASE RECORD" AS REFERNCE TO THE DIFFERNT DRAWING SETS.

THE ARCHITECT HAS  COMBINED THE DRAWINGS INTO A SINGLE BID SET SO IT CAN BE BID  AS A SINGLE PROJECT. THIS WAS DONE BY ADDING NOTES AND REFERENCING DIFFERENT PLAN PACKAGES ON THE SHEETS. THERE IS SOME DUPLICATION OF INFORMATION ON THE DIFFERENT PLAN SET SHEETS BUT IT IS OUR INTENT TO BID THIS AS A SINGLE, COMPLETE PROJECT WHICH INCLUDES COMBINING THE WORK SHOWN ON ALL OF THE 5 DRAWING SETS.

The Project entails the construction of a new 32,656 square foot 5-story building with basement. The upper 4 floors will be 34 Studio Apartments for resident populations of adults with mental illness and Veterans, the ground floor will be offices providing Mental Health Services for residents. The Basement which will become Medical and Dental Clinic will be built out under a separate permit.

Congregation B'nai B'rith (CBB) Renovation

This project consists of the following:  

This is a full campus renovation that consists of the demolition and reconstruction of the Center for Jewish Learning (CJL) Building including adding a new elevator for this building, an addition and renovation of the Sanctuary Building, additions to the Rooftop Photo Voltaic System, a new Playground & Courtyard and a new Parking Lot with new sitework, hardscape and landscape / irrigation.  Please refer to the Bid instructions for more information.  The Preschool will be fully operational during construction activity.  Safety of our crews and the staff/children will be very important! They are requesting the bids to be broken out via the following:

The missing sheets will be provided next week for the Playground Shade Canopy Structure & Site Improvements. 

 

There are design-build deferred submittal elements of the project which are noted on our cover sheets and should be included. They are as follows:

  • Re-Roofing of Existing Sanctuary roof areas otherwise not included in bid set drawings (to match the new roof membrane and finishes indicated in our drawings)

Prequalification of Bidders and E/M/P subcontractors: As a condition of bidding on this Project, and in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 20111.5 and 20111.6 all Bidders and all electrical, mechanical and plumbing subcontractors listed in the Bidder’s proposal must either be pre-qualified for at least five business days before the date of the opening of the bids or must submit a completed prequalification package by the deadline stated below.
