125 State Street – Moxi White-Water Exhibit Demo & Repair
Description of Work:
Demolition and removal of the existing White-Water exhibit in its entirety (including piping beneath the pavers), removal of damaged pavers, and removal of all water-related equipment in the pump room (pipes, pumps, basins, and associated components), including capping of incoming water lines at the east wall. Repairs include installation of new pavers, widening of the existing bored holes from the pump room to two inches, modification of the pump room drainpipe for a floor-level access point, and repainting of all walls within the construction zone. Contractor to field verify all existing conditions prior to commencing work and report any discrepancies or unforeseen conditions to the owner before proceeding.
Provide Pricing for the following:
Mandatory job walk to be notified by Ron Morales for scheduling (tentative on August 27 @ 10am)
Site Protection: Temporary barriers, protection of adjacent walls/glass/finishes, and a safe, secure, orderly work area throughout the project.
Demolition: Removal and disposal of the existing White-Water exhibit in its entirely, including piping beneath the paver; crane support if required; removal of damaged pavers (chips, cuts, holes or similar damage); removal and disposal of all water-related equipment in the pump room; and capping of incoming water lines at the east wall.
Repairs & Improvements: New pavers to replace all demolished pavers; widening of existing bored holes from the pump room to the roof to two inches with a temporary barrier preventing water intrusion; modification of pump the pump room drainpipe for a floor-level access point (current access is ~6” above floor level); and repainting of all walls within the construction zone.
Quality/Materials: All materials new and equal to or better than materials being replaced; finished repairs to blend cleanly with adjacent construction and finishes.
