The Housing Authority of Santa Barbara and Garden Court, Inc., are proposing the development of an affordable senior housing project that would be made available to the very low and low income frail, elderly population. The four story project would include 89 studio apartments for rent and a 1 bedroom manager’s unit, a common dining area, commercial kitchen, and common indoor gathering areas. The project also includes a proposed courtyard for common outdoor recreation along South Hope Avenue and Arroyo Burro Creek. 

Proposed BMP’s include permeable pavement in parking and courtyard areas, infiltration trenches along Hope Avenue frontage and walking path at creek, and a bio-retention area at the southwest corner of the site.
