At Frank Schipper Construction, our annual company picnic lets us celebrate the people behind the work. This month, our employee-owners and their families traded the proverbial hard hat for BBQ and gathered for sunshine, good food, and time together. After months of long days on job sites across the Central Coast, it felt good to step away from the usual routine and enjoy the people we work alongside every day.
A Day to Celebrate Our Team
The annual picnic is a special occasion for our team. We find plenty of fulfillment in our work, but it means just as much to spend time with the people our coworkers care about most outside of it. Kids ran through the grass, families swapped stories, and coworkers who typically cross paths on-site had the chance to relax and catch up. The games brought plenty of energy, while time for conversation gave everyone a chance to slow down without the usual urgency of a workday. It's also a reminder that the people building our projects know and support one another beyond the workday. That sense of connection matters to us, and it's why we look forward to this gathering each summer.
Employee Ownership Makes the Difference
As a 100% employee-owned company, each person at Frank Schipper Construction is an employee-owner with a real stake in our future. Through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), our employee-owners share directly in the company's long term success. That connection shows up in the care we bring to projects, the way we look out for our colleagues, and the pride we take in representing FSCC across the Central Coast. The annual picnic gives us a chance to include the families who support that work and celebrate what employee ownership looks like in everyday life.
Building More Than Projects
We're proud of the well-designed, well-built projects we deliver across the Central Coast, and we know they start with people. Every completed project reflects the effort of employee-owners who bring skill and attention to the job, along with families who support them along the way, often without ever setting foot on the jobsite themselves. That work and that support are central to how we do business. The picnic is a simple way to make time for one another, thank the families in our corner, and strengthen the relationships that carry from one project to the next. We want Frank Schipper Construction to be a place where employee-owners and their families feel valued for the long term.
Thank You, Team
Thank you to all of our employee-owners, who bring their skill, care, and steady effort to work each day. We're grateful to the FSCC team and to the families and loved ones who support them. We're already looking forward to celebrating again next summer!
