This 17,900-square-foot renovation for the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute involved a comprehensive modernization of an existing medical facility. The scope included full replacement of plumbing and HVAC systems, extensive electrical upgrades, and substantial interior reconstruction to support updated clinical and administrative functions. Work encompassed the installation of predominantly new interior walls and drywall, complete finish upgrades throughout, and the addition of new handrails and guardrails to enhance safety and code compliance. Exterior improvements included a new roofing system, skylight installation to increase natural light, and new storefront entrances to improve accessibility and overall building presence. All construction was carefully coordinated to align with the operational needs of the facility, delivering a fully upgraded, high-performance environment built to modern standards.
