Foodbank of Santa Barbara - Warehouse
Project: Foodbank of Santa Barbara - Warehouse
Goleta, California
Client: Foodbank of Santa Barbara
Architect: AB Design Studio
The project constructed a 60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art distribution center, including 5,000 square feet of refrigerated cold storage, dramatically increasing the Foodbank’s capacity for fresh and frozen goods. Work included installation of industrial racking systems, a walk-in cooler and freezer, and a fully enclosed loading dock to optimize operational efficiency. Site work encompassed grading, utility installation, and precise coordination of structural steel and concrete foundations to accommodate heavy storage loads and refrigerated areas. All finishes, mechanical systems, and building envelope components were selected to ensure durability, energy efficiency, and long-term performance under high-volume use.
Project Highlights
• Construction of a large-scale distribution center with refrigerated storage
• Installation of industrial racking, walk-in cooler/freezer, and enclosed loading dock
