Tom Wienberg
Tom Weinberg has been a part of the Frank Schipper Construction Co. team since 1990 and his expertise in carpentry and framing has proven invaluable to the growth and standard of excellence within our company. He is detail oriented and not only expects but demands nothing less than quality and timely work from all those on his jobs. Tom has a good sense of humor and is very personable. Tom’s education includes four years at Chico State University where he majored in business administration and art. Tom went on to train for his General Contractor’s License which he successfully attained in 1977. From 1977-1990 he ran General Contracting businesses from Chico to Carpinteria, California. Since joining the Schipper team, Tom has furthered his education by regularly attending classes in the Supervisory Training Program through the AGC and attending Total Quality Management classes which focus on issues of production and quality control within the industry. Furthermore, Tom has been to the World of Concrete in Las Vegas three times where he attended seminars in basic concrete, concrete repair and advanced concrete repair, to name just a few. Recently Tom has been avidly pursuing the development of his computer skills. He has taken classes through Horizon Computer Learning Center in Computer Basics, Excel, Word & Windows and has also been extensively trained in Suretrack, the scheduling software that FSCC uses. During his employment with the Schipper team, he has been the superintendent for large projects such as the Asian Elephant exhibit at the Santa Barbara Zoo for which Frank Schipper Construction Co. won the AGC Constructor award for projects under $5,000,000 for the state of California, the El Montecito Presbyterian Church, El Paseo Building renovation, and Frank Schipper Construction’s most intense fast-track projects, CWX trucking terminal in Oxnard and Wells Fargo Bank. Other projects include Chicago Pacific Entertainment, Inc., Glen Annie Golf Clubhouse, Girls, Inc. in Carpinteria, Pacifica Suites Hotel, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, St. Mary’s, Staples Super Store and Territory Ahead. Tom resides in Carpinteria with his wife Bonnie. He has two grown sons and he enjoys golf, surfing, mountain-biking and snowboarding. |
