With over 30 years of construction experience, Paul Wieckowski has developed a knack for communication, motivation, and problem-solving that makes him invaluable to the company in his role as General Manager. With more than 40 people in the field and up to 10 projects going on at once, Paul has the enthusiasm and determination to keep things moving in a positive direction, as well as the experience and job know-how to work effectively with owners, architects and project supervisors to get the jobs done.
Paul received a Business/Economics degree from the University of California. He was trained in the construction industry as a lead carpenter and has been with Schipper Construction since 1987. Prior to becoming General Manager, Paul was the project superintendent on such projects as the Wells Fargo Bank Building, El Montecito Presbyterian Church and South Coast Business Park. Since becoming General Manager, Paul and his team of supervisors have won First Place in the Associated General Contractor's Safety Award of Excellence Competition in the category of Medium-size Construction Companies for the entire state of California in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001. Paul is now a Vice President and Officer of the company.
Paul served as President of the Ventura County Contractors Association for the 2005-2006 term, and as Vice President for the 2003 - 2004 term. He and his wife Donna live in the old town section of Ventura and enjoy their view of the ocean. Paul likes to ski, golf, surf, and ride mountain bikes.
