Superintendent

Mike Jacobson

Mike Jacobson"I appreciate the opportunity to work on every facet of new construction from the foundation to the turnkey. I also really like seismic retrofits."

Mike Jacobson has been a loyal Superintendent for Frank Schipper Construction Co. since 1986, only four years after the company¹s inception. He began as an apprentice working with Preben Jensen, one of the best tradesmen in the industry, and has worked his way up to a lead Superintendent. Mike is competent in a wide range of construction duties including concrete work, framing and finishing work. He is a veteran at seismic retrofit projects and enjoys working with structural engineers as they reinforce old structures to bring them up to earthquake code.

Mike's high moral compass and broad range of experience have led but not limited him to various community projects with Frank Schipper Construction Co., some of which include the $2 Million Ellwood Elementary School Classroom Building, a Mobile Courtroom for Juvenile Hall in Santa Barbara as well as various churches in the Santa Barbara area such as St. Mark's Parrish, San Roque and St. Michael¹s Churches.

Mike has also attended a number of seminars, from Uniform Building Code upgrades to how to make a job more profitable, and he is a consistent attendee at the yearly World of Concrete seminars and the AGC'S Supervisory Training Program courses.

Mike and his wife Vicki have two sons Connor and Jared. Mike enjoys mountain biking, fishing, camping, and hiking in Santa Barbara's back- country. He also enjoys reading murder mysteries when he can find a little quiet time at home.
