Superintendent
James Tooley
James Tooley learned the concrete trade in high school while working for his father’s company. He also worked for his brother's construction company before settling in at Schipper Construction Company in 1994. With a broad knowledge of concrete to carpentry and over 20 years of experience under his belt, James is well equipped to run large projects and he is now one of the company's leading superintendents. He has supervised many projects, including the Sea Center, Towbes Riviera Park, Marjorie Luke Theater Remodel, Cottage Hospital’s Cancer Center Remodel, the Meadows Home Project, and the Valley Club Project in Montecito. James was born in Vandenberg Air Force Base, while his dad was in the Air Force, and graduated from Cabrillo High School. He has one son whom he loves to take motorcycle riding in the winter and wake boarding on the lake in the summer. He spends most of his free time helping his son with his sport teams. To stay up to date with new trends and tricks of the trade, James is a regular attendee of the AGC Supervisory Training Program courses and he also enjoys attending the yearly World of Concrete seminars in Las Vegas. |

"Skip cares about his employees. And he works really hard at keeping us busy. There is a constant demand for our company’s services throughout the central coast. It’s great to be a member of this team."
