Fernando Orta
I am passionate about what I do. Working at FSCC gives me the opportunity to learn and take on new challenges. The most rewarding part of what I do is seeing the final product and looking past the obstacles that were overcome to get there.
Prior to becoming part of the FSCC family, Fernando’s experience began with his focus and passion for the construction industry. He started with a framing company in the Bay Area in which he was part of a crew who built custom homes. With his background in structures and construction management, he decided to take on the challenges and problem solving techniques that the construction industry allows.
Fernando started with Frank Schipper Construction Co. as an intern, working as Safety Manager for the Mesa Center Project. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo; where he became OSHA Certified and is currently working on becoming a LEED Accredited Professional. Fernando had a great experience as an intern, which made him come back and start managing his own projects with Frank Schipper Construction Co.
Fernando likes the challenges of the everyday construction industry and is not afraid to take on new challenges. He is looking forward to taking on any project whether big or small and looking forward to developing and implementing his management skills.
Fernando works hard but also knows how to enjoy the simple things in life. He likes the outdoors, camping, hunting, and enjoys beautiful Santa Barbara where he has lived most of his life.
