Superintendent
Alan Von Doeren
With more than 25 years of experience, Superintendent Alan Von Doeren is a veteran supervisor at fast-track projects. He has been part of the Schipper Construction team since 1991, and has completed projects such as Dako Cytomation in Carpinteria, an 11 week multimillion dollar remodel of a 60,000 sq. ft. labratory, Alias/Wavefront, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara, and the Pacific Beverage Building to name a few. Alan's favorite part about working in construction is the ability to transform empty space into remarkable buildings. His extensive knowledge of all aspects of construction and his experience with organizing large crews makes him invaluable to the Schipper Team. Alan graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography where he received his Bachelors degree in Industrial Photography. After working in Los Angeles as a photographer, he moved back to Ventura, joined the carpenter's union, and began his career in construction. While he has been with Schipper Construction Alan has attended numerous Supervisory Training Program classes through the Associated General Contractors organization. Alan and his wife still reside in Ventura with their three sons. In his spare time Alan enjoys camping, water-skiing and riding his 1964 Harley Davidson. |
