Superintendent

Charles McCoy

Charles McCoy"I like feeling the sense of accomplishment once a job is completed, knowing all the challenges that had to be overcome and the hard work of many individuals that it took to make the building what it is. It gives me great satisfaction and pride to be able to drive around and look at the buildings that I helped create."

A long time veteran of the construction industry, Charles McCoy started working in construction in 1972 while he was still in High School. In 1976 he joined the Carpenterâs Apprenticeship Program and in 1991 he became a licensed General Contractor specializing in residential foundations and building custom homes start to finish.

Charlie spent two years in Cheyenne, Wyoming, as a project superintendent, streamlining the construction of 120 residential homes. His most enjoyable job was building cabins for fishermen in the Yukon Territory; a job that required him to take a floatplane to work! He says it sure beat navigating the 101!

Since joining Frank Schipper Construction Co. in 1992, Charlie has supervised the building of various projects including St. Raphael¹s Church, the UCSB Hillell Center, the award winning Santa Barbara Historical Museum, as well as many out of town projects in the tri-counties area.

He is a member of the Santa Ynez Valley Sportsman Association and the La Purisma Men¹s Golf Club. Currently he resides in Buellton where he enjoys spending his free time outdoors fishing, hunting & golfing.
