Arlan
Schipper Arlan Schipper has been active in the construction industry for the past 20 years. Arlan's construction experience began as a field employee, performing a variety of trades including framing, concrete, and finish work. It is a source of pride for him to be able to reflect on the many projects around Santa Barbara and Lake Tahoe that he had a hand in building. Arlan's transition into the office as a project manager and ultimately as an estimator has helped to round out his education in the world of construction. In addition, Arlan has been instrumental in the implementation of both a computer estimating and project management systems. He is a firm believer that staying current with technology is key to delivering projects in a timelier manner with increased accuracy and speed in job costing and information flow. Arlan's extensive computer background has become invaluable to the Frank Schipper Construction Co. team. Arlan's estimating skills have won Frank Schipper Construction Co. many projects through the years. Some of the larger competitive bid projects that Arlan has estimated in the new millennium are the Santa Barbara Junior High School Theater Remodel, Ellwood Elementary Classroom Addition, and Zodo's Bowling and Beyond just to name a few. Arlan is a graduate of the University of Denver, with degrees in Psychology and Music. Arlan is an avid mountain biker, a PSIA certified level III ski instructor, and an AASI snowboard examiner. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors with his wife, two daughters, and son, or hacking it up on the golf course. |
